That Login has always been the same, and the sig has never changed. You and Mith have even pointed out who it is before in other threads. I know who it is as well. It may be anon, but at the same time, hardly really anon when tons know that sig.


There is an Alb Minstrel with a similar name, but not the Log in name =P


This person started in alb, played in Hib, and now plays on Nimue with all of us =P

I'm sure if you think about it, you'll remember, or the person will tell you who it is

Accually I'm Hib on Lance and I haven't changed my sig for about/over a year. But remind me again why that matters?

Aabra. Lets go ahead and tell the full story ok?


Aabra scheduled a dragon raid soon after the merger (this was fairly soon after the dragons were put into the game, so we're talking many many months ago). Everyone logs on for this, everyone's ready to go. Aabra doesn't show up. 1/2 an hour later, everyone in the guild starts getting upset.


At this point, Alexandra, one of the members who came over with Retribution, insists that I lead the dragon raid in Aabra's stead. I had not discussed the dragon raid with Aabra. From our tradition in EQ, the raid leader leads the raid. I didn't even know where the dragon was, or what plan he had for dealing with it. For me to lead that raid would be leading into certain death, since I,

1. didn't know where the dragon was,

2. did not know what Aabra's plan for take down was

3. had no plan devised on my own.


HALO took down many many dragons in EQ. Every dragon had it's own resists, every dragon had a certain amount of tactics. I assumed Aabra did research on the dragon's flight pattern, fight tactics, mobs around which were obstruction or could be used, the range of the dragon's aoe, the damage the dragon could do, yadda yadda. I did no such thing.


I explained that I could not lead the dragon raid for the above reasons. Alexandra got upset at me, calling me a 'shitty GM', since a GM should lead raids. Well, on hindsight, she was well within her rights to think so, but in HALO, raid leaders are not the same as Guild Leader. Guild leader does admin only, and tho I DID lead raids in EQ on occasion, I knew what I was doing before I did it. I don't see myself leading a raid where I had no facts whatsoever about what was to be encountered or even where it is located. I didn't think taking 80 people to die for a few hours under my totally inept lead for that raid was a good idea.


Few other people jumped in on this, and Alexandra disguilded, along with about 12 of her real life friends/coworkers. Nice people, and I totally understood why they did. I still won't lead raids I didn't plan, and without a handle on when I can be in game due to RL, I don't plan raids often. Her real life husband, Ociaven, remained in the guild. He stayed for months til just last week, when he said that he had to join his wife in her guild. With good wishes and zero animosity.


THAT is the incident to which Aabra refers. Then soon after that, Aabra says he's going to start working on a friend's website and had far less time in the game. He didn't play much and we got used to not seeing him around. Everyone went on with what they were doing, leveling, rvring,etc. No drama, just boredom with DAOC, til Ashaman started picking fights with a former Retribution member. Everyone in HALO knows who.


I took the side of Ashaman's victim and not Ashaman. To this day, I think he is mean, cruel, and nasty and treated her badly for no reason. Ashaman left the guild after spamming a PL group for 4 hours about the evils of this poor guildie... one which came with HIM to HALO to begin with. No one was sympathetic to him except Aabra, who wasn't in the game and clearly didn't know what went on there.


In the course of this going on, someone made reference to a female guildie leaving and quitting the server... and I surmised in HALO OFFICER Forum maybe she was being sexually harassed by Ashaman. Ashaman, whom at this point still had Officer Access, read it, copied it and proceeded to paste it to every forum he could think of, saying I called him a stalker. Only five people could see that note, Ashaman could have defended himself there, but instead, chose to broadcast this surmise on every public board he could find to 'exonerate himself'. I was going off of what I was told by a guildie, and this incredible display of paranoia and excessive defense just made him look guilty.


Aabra decided that that all meant that I was trying to persecute Ashaman, because I posted that note in Officers, where Ashaman could see it but no guildies could, and he hops in in defense of his friend.


Here's the rub. For all the complaining and whining Aabra, why didn't you break off with the Retribution members and go back to Retribution? BOTH you and Ashaman have twinks in Retribution. Would NONE of them go with you? What is the point of all this drama here?


Here you try to paint this picture of what a horrible person I am, and in some ways you may be right. I am DEFINITELY rude to those who are rude to me first. I have never been rude first myself however, and that's a lifelong habit. But at NO POINT can anyone force anyone else to stay in HALO. As a matter of fact, *I* (this is for Lochib) do remove people who are hurtful to the guild and drive other guildies crazy, and further, guildies whom others don't like DO tend to be ignored til they go away by action of the guild at large.


I don't know why all this hoopla is painted all over the boards, but wtf, it's here and I'll clear it up if I can.


At ANY point, Retribution could have broken back off. We did and do like many of the members who are still in HALO but if they chose to do that, they are more than welcome to. I repeat, HALO is a friends guild, and we stay together because we enjoy each other's company, no more, no less.


Those members from Retribution are valued members of HALO now, but should they choose to leave, to another guild, or to form their own, they'd do it. That they didn't do it or wouldn't do it kinda says something about you guys, a whole lot more than it says about me.


I do administration for HALO. That's about it. I don't even play all that often, so all this sinister attribution to me is kind of bewildering. I crack jokes about how I must be evil incarnate and are the downfall of the server, for as much as you guys imply here of my power.


It's flattering and shocking when total strangers like Lochib post 10 page equivalents of how much horrible effect I have on the server and people (HEY! If I ebayed, the server would be unified and everyone would love each other without my presence! Irony? I leave the game weeks at a time, and spend probably 2-3 weeks a MONTH in DAOC. Why haven't you gotten this server unity together yet? During one of my ABSENCES is when the KOS alliance fell to pieces).


I thought I was just another player. The joke is, I AM just another player. What's with the obsession?


This is what I do, and that's all... I log on, I play 2 to 6 hours a nite, xping my twink, rvring, talking to friends. That's it. If we've got nuff on to take keeps, we go take some keeps. If we don't, we go kill people or level. That's assuming I'm playing my bard, which I only play part of the time.


Ashaman? I barely had time to talk to Ashaman, I was 'always sending him tells'? Wtf are you smoking Ashaman, you weren't even on my friends list, ever. The tell sender was you and always you. From what I have seen in guildchat, you're on a whole lot of HALO ignores too. Go bug KOS.


Thanks for the attention folks, the stories get bigger and bigger, but ok, there's as much as I can answer for the incredibly stupid and illogical statements I've seen here.


Since most normal players don't even read this crap, it's for the edification of the small handful whom don't know what's going on but have some common sense. Believe what you will. I'll still log in and do what I do anyway, rvr, level, yak with my guild. You go work yourselves into more sinister plots kk?

So why did every ACTIVE guild leave KOS alliance and join the one HALO was in, United? Most joined before HALO did, and of those, voted to have HALO join.


Who's more hated? KOS who was ditched, or HALO, who's in alliance with every active guild on the server?


Active 50's from the guilds in your KOS alliance, including a GM (Grimgoddess of Devils of Camelot, Cerridwen GM of Frayed Knot) from your alliance, quit their guilds and joined HALO, the GUILD, with Sirene the Terrible as GM, in the last 2 weeks as well.


ATM, HALO members consist of the GM's of these former guilds on Hibernia:

Noshadowking- GM of Tempest

Noober-GM of Nameless

Grimgoddess- GM of Devils of Camelot

Obie (canceled account)- GM of Laughing Lion

Cerridwen- GM of Frayed Knot

Aabra-GM of Retribution, whom I'm going to count since HE insists he's in HALO. The ONLY merger HALO has done as a 'merger' with another guild.

Anyone with a brain can realize that these people wouldn't have joined HALO as MEMBERS if in fact they felt that *I* was responsible for the hurt to their position or their guilds, except for Aabra, whom HIMSELF allowed his DAOC membership to lapse, resulting in his removal from our GUILD FORUMS on our WEBSITE and STILL doesn't own an active DAOC account. They wouldn't join those who DID hurt them obviously, and HALO wasn't it was it?


It's fugly people like you who spend all your time trashing GM's of guilds and trying to make them either quit the game or quit their guilds. And this latest assault on me didn't work in game, won't work here either.


It's a simple thing. I play the freaking game, I don't focus on political garbage, I help my guild when I can, and my guild helps each other. Look at the huge smackdown someone who has the audacity to tell the truth gets. Hawkes had the courage to post what he thought and the result was his quitting the game because of your ugliness to him here. His act of defiance was to post application to HALO before he did. WTF is wrong with the skewed bullshit picture you try to paint? GO LOOK AT THE HERALD.


The Herald does tell all. Everyone knows who everyone else is. You have more rps yes. But you think everyone likes you? Think again.


Go look at HALO's guild roster. If they didn't like me, they'd leave EN MASSE. It's NOT hard to snag 10-20 people, form up a new guild and go for it. People have done it before, it's easy to do. I may be the stupidest person alive, but yes, people like me.

Aabra and Ashaman were so well respected by their own guildies that not one of them chose to leave HALO and go rejoin a guild with them. These include mostly former members of Retribution, several of whom have Ashaman on ignore.


Why wouldn't they go back to Retribution with you or restart another guild with you? Those who have left don't seem to want you in their guilds either. This is MY doing?


Opinion:

Because all Sirene does is play the game and has fun. Sirene logs in, plays, talks to guildies, and doesn't spend any time thinking ill thoughts of everyone else on the server.


I have no idea what you think you're going to accomplish by these attacks, but the above is a record of your batting average so far. My opinion is that you quit while you're ahead. Of course, you don't think much of my opinion, so just keep on attacking me.
