IDEA FOR THE DECAL DEVS


Why dont you guys make a game off your own? seems like you guys are a clever bunch, not that hard to find people for artwork, audio ect


Seems to me you do a beter job communicating with the players even tho you are a group working together online.


Maybe call it WoD? (world of decal )

- On the contrary this is actually the hardest part believe it or not. The biggest issue right now with next gen and even current gen games is content production. I mean in your average studio you are seeing a 3:1 artist to programmer ratio minimum, an average of 5:1, and you really want to be sitting at 9:1 or higher for a game like an MMOG.


I have no doubts the Decal developers could put together a game, as I even already stated.. but getting content is hard unless you are shelling out good cash contracting for it

Imperil = A$$hat STFU dood. What the hell do you know about making a game? I am currently enrolled in iadt of tampa for my batchelors in fine arts for computer anmation. There are several departments that go into making a game. Sales, Animation, Modeling, Coding, Interior design, not to mention a decent knowledge of Physics and Anatomy. In my opinion you are just jealous of the acomplishments brought forth by the decal team and I can sympathise with them as to how hard it is to update decal. When I was making eq trainers the code was not incripted so all I had to do was decompile and search jump referances. Ac however is a little harder due to the incription. They actually have to search for the hexidecimal equivelant in whats called the residual memory to find what they are looking for, no easy task.


You make me sick with all your bitching Imperil so just STFU nobody wants to hear it. If you don't like it don't use it! Go play in your little carebear world and be happy without trying to preach to people who are not hearing it.
