Don't even need a GUI. And no feature creep, please. Just a plugin to reset the log off timer to 5000 years or so. Thank you to whoever puts this up.

Why a seperate plugin? I think most plugins where logging out is a concern deal with this issue themselves.

i believe several people still use the old idler, not sure if it works but i see it in several of decal exports people post.
and as mentioned something like idler was released for decal 3, but i can't find the link anymore  and of course it's not sure if it still works either.

the old one doesn't seem to work anymore, the one from decal 2 that is.
but the one for decal alpha 3 still works it seems, download it here:

Yah, Arch's plugin works quite nicely.
No icon or anything to clutter up decal ingame. Just sets your login timer to forever or so  |

Wonderful, I had no idea it was even out there.
Maddy, I guess my answer to that would be, people run a random mix of plugins, not necessarily those that have a 'built-in Idler', and it's nice to have that character on your 2nd or 3rd account just 'wait for you' while you're doing something on another character. It's extremely useful to have a seperate Idler plugin.

What type of plugin? Give me some examples as I still don't see a need for this as a stand alone plugin.

I honestly cannot see a need for a plugin to keep an account idle for more than the default 20 minutes.. other than for "bot" plugins...
I don't see why any account that is NOT a bot would need to run an idler, and all the bot plugins themselves should have the idler built in.
so I'm in agreement with Maddy on this one.. I don't see what use an idler plugin would be to non-bot accounts. If you're away from your character for more than 20 minutes, then I think it SHOULD be logging itself out.

If you have to go out and do something real fast, you can come back IG and see all the missed tells.
thats what I use it for, sometimes my parents have to come in here and check email or whatever, and I can just be AFK IG and still recieve messages without missing any tells
somtimes I just play my ps2 while logged IG cuz no one is on, so I can do that without worrying about logging out
