Global profiles work just like regular profiles. The only difference is they do not currently appear in the dropdown list.

Hi, I was looking at the ripped rabbit profile, and it has some rules for al 501 armor. What is the purpose for this rule, as I've never heard of armor with 501 armor.
Also, I realize the names of the rules are probably what ever he felt like calling them, but a lot of them have WIP in the title, and just wondering if it is a common acronym that I am not getting. for example "Weapon: Max WIP Spear".
Thanks.

I have successfully edited gameinfodb and have Prismatic's working wonderfully (as the only ammo type I carry). And thus, realized that some weapons aren't Prismatic friendly and will default to Pierce Dmg when used with Prismatics.
List of a few Prismatic Unfriendly Weapons:
Composite's
Shimmering Isparian's (elemental slayer)
Royal Runed's
And anything else that doesn't specify a dmg type will default to Pierce dmg when using Prismatics...
Maybe VI already has this solved, But my best (non-programmer) efforts to make Prismatics work has left me thinking… VTank needs Prismatic to appear as a dmg type on the Monsters Tab. So Prismatic's are only used if we specify them on Dmg type, if we specify Auto or S,P,B,F,C,A,L then VTank uses the old school Deadly's or Greater Deadly's... Thoughts???

Not a huge deal, but I noticed that VT doesn't always recognize when I have a wand equipped and try to run macro. It complains that the profile needs to have at least 1 wand set. If I unequip/re-equip, it will then run. This goes along with the problem I'm having up above...how to load a profile using command-line that can actually function. I can't get it to load a character specific version of a profile, and all the global profiles suffer from the fact that you can't really add a wand to it since only 1 character would have that wand. Anyways, noticed the wand thing since I was using a global profile with no wands and hoping that VT would recognize the equipped wand.
You do realize you can name the profiles WHATEVER you want, right? It's really not that hard to select the correct one for the character you have logged in. Once you do it, it stays set until you change to another one on that character.
If the char name has a space, just manually enter a profile name without the space. You could even go into the vtank folder and manually change the name of the profile there.
Yeah...the problem I have is that most of my chars have spaces or ' in the name, so from what I can tell I can't load settings on a [Char] basis and have to resort to a global profile name. The problem with putting them in the global space is that it clutters up what is already a huge list of profiles. I mean I probably have 50 [Char] profiles (I automate a LOT) and I change back and forth between them constantly. I'm already finding that by itself to be a pain which is partly why I'm asking the questions I am...so that I can automatically trigger profiles without having to go select them.
I guess the better work-around in my case is just to make some global profiles and add the wands/items for every char to those profiles and ignore the fact that there will be a ton of invalid IDs.
With the global profiles, if you name one "Mulepewp", and select it for character X, the next time you log in, that profile automatically comes up, right?
Then, if you log in mule Y, make a second global profile named "mulepoop", it should be the one that loads each time that char is logged in, until you change it.
Or does a global profile not make changes with each new profile made?
That sounds right. The part that I can't figure out is why global profiles would be useful at all. Because almost every profile needs to have some items added to it (so VT knows what to attack/cast spells with), those items will show up as invalid IDs with every other char that tries to use that global profile. I'm not sure how they are intended to be used.

I think the global profiles do appear, you just have to deselect "Mine only". I'm using this as a work around currently.

Well, that's how it's *supposed* to work. The last time I checked, the "mine only" box didn't seem to work correctly but maybe I was mistaken.

I think it works correctly IF you save the global profile while the "mine only" box is unchecked. If you save it while it's checked, no other char can see it.....that's how I remember it, anyways.

Ok. THe bar that I refer to dose not move. It is the item bar (HUD) that appears at bottom above the chat bar. It isn't the apps on side. Now about the items not being recognized. In VTank you have a tab for items. WAND/WEAPON/SHIELD, my items if I haven't deleted them out to re-recognize say "<INVALID -2138927947> , <INVALID -2138927949>" and so on. I have tried to take them out and add them again but it does not add them. It is like they don't exit. Please help
