Well I tried a lil experiment in EO. With a blank mobs tab and everything set to <auto>, I added "Olthoi" and selected my para bow and peircing ammo, set priority to 3, started it up and ran down the hall into some Slashers.
Vtank selected my bludge rend bow and slash ammo. I already had slash ammo eqiupped, so I shut down vtank and switched to bludge ammo, started vtank again and it kept the bludge ammo this time and fired away.
I think I answered my question on the mobs tab, Is there some way to edit the <auto> table maybe?

You should be able to set "damage type" under the monsters tab to whatever kinda arrows you want to use, then set the weapon to whichever you want.

if he wanted to use 'specialized' arrow types wouldn't he have to set them in the advanced popup window? or is that usespecialammo in the crafting part of advanced?

I basicly would like to know how to edit the list or rules (if there is one, somewhere...) that tells the <auto> portion of the attack rules, what to use on what mob.
For example: if I set the weapon and ammo type under the Monster Tab both to <auto>... is there a ruleset somewhere telling vtank to pull out a lightning bow and lightning ammo, for zefirs? This is the ruleset I need to find and edit.
I would like to do this for 2 reasons..
1. To avoid having a monster list 3 miles long to scroll through when I need to change something on the fly (in combat).
2. A lot of the auto settings are incorrect for me and for Colo runs in general.
Is it possible to do this? Thanks for any help
EDIT - I have always used the "specialammo" in the crafting rules to use the top tier ammo.

Fairly certain that unless your a competent coder, there isn't anything that a "script kiddie" type person would be able to change in Vtank. Not like the old skunkworks macros where you could open a file and make changes. Those were the good old days.

Well thats a bummer, was really hoping to avoid a 3 mile long monster list.
The default auto settings need a lot of corrections.

fender you set up profiles for areas: eg, EO, DarkIsle, GY, Viss, GKnight. with the specific weapons of use in each area listed in the items section. say EO items would list bludge and acid weapons (assuming non sword/dagger toon).
this helps in 2 ways, You only buff the weapons you use in that area and 2 the list of monsters you have to adjust for that area is SHORT. often 3 or 4 long, NOT 5 or 6 pages to scroll thru! and the default can be adjusted PER profile.
this works VERY WELL, if you can remember once you move from the GY to DI, that you then load the DI profile!

I've been using VTank for quite some time now, so I'm pretty much resigned to having a three mile long monster list on all my characters. I would like some way to organize/sort the monster list, though. It's the main area I think the UI of VTank could be improved.

I am running vtank and alinco. When trying to UST one of the two plugins is maximizing my chat window and stops the UST process. I read back through a few pages, but this thread has gotten pretty long to search through. Anyone else had this problem?

you will see the issue while fighting, how to change or prevent this, stop talking.
my guess is that vtank is using a hook to the keyboard at times to send ac commands and using the keyboard interrupts this process.
