The crasing while entering world with the later Decal releases is the biggest issue we need to fix before we can release a non-beta version of Decal. Unfortunately neither para, Virindi, or myself has a machine that exhibits this behavior and without the ability to reproduce the bug, we cannot fix it.


If this is happening to you, please post here with what kind of computer you are using, hardware specs, video card, operating system, et cetera. If you aren't sure, even giving us the model number and a Decal export would be useful.


In addition -- if you are willing to let us remote control your computer, this would be extremely helpful. If you have your computer already set up to allow RDP requests, that would be the fastest way to get this fixed. We'll need to install a debugger on your computer (you can uninstall it afterwards) and maybe a debug version of Decal.

Can you tell me what kind of hardware you're running? Your graphics card looks like a Radeon 6950 with 2GB of ram, is that correct?

Even if you're not CURRENTLY running 2964/2965 and you had a crash problem, I would really appreciate it if you posted your hardware config in here.

Been back and forth with 2.9.6.0 or 2.9.6.5 b/c cannot get 6.5 to work but I really want it to. So back to 6.0 for now but I got an export of 6.5 for you before I switch back... Let me know what else I can do to help

I made a post here about a crashing problem while launching the game, not entering the world. Not sure if any of it would be related.
