I've decided not to see the US version of the movie because I think the Swedes did it right the first time.
This is also why I rather watch BBC original programming instead of the US butchered version for most TV shows. Now if only they would quit spamming Top Gear on BBCA, I might be quite content.
Top Gear is a great show, and I agree that I'd rather watch the UK originals than the "OMG WE'RE GOING TO STEAL YOUR POPULAR STUFF" US versions.
UK Changing rooms, I loved to watch years ago... they were never afraid to say. "OMG, this is utter crap! I can't believe you did this to my home!"

our friends were on trading spaces. they went on a vacation and their kids had tlc come over and they did it with the neighbors and when they came back they were livid.  years later and they still can't find some of the paintings they had up in the room.

Just saw it tonight.
Pretty well done. The gal playing Lisbeth was very good in some different ways than Noomi in the original was. That is, I liked them both but in different ways.
Overall, I liked Dan Craig as Bloomkvist better than the Swede in the original but thought the Swedish version kept the same vibe as the book better than this one did.
Should be a good two next movies, as well, if they can keep the screenplay quality up.
Still need more coffee and sandwiches.
