True. I'd only drive someone that far if I was trying to get in to her pants.
You might need to ask your daughter some difficult questions....
Wow.
Just trying to get a rise out of Jezza. Calm down...

It would be cheaper and more fun to get a cook book and learn how to make your favorite dishes yourselves. I picked up a Thai cookbook recently, the first dish I still had to improvise even though I bought a bunch of Thai ingredients and it still came out pretty darn good.

I believe the theme of the story is that Jezza is/was sick and wanted pho. Pho, a Vietnamese version of chicken noodle soup, is associated with being something you eat while having a cold/flu. She didn't feel like making it/getting it herself because she is/was sick. So, her daughter, unable to prepare the meal, went to procure it from a restaurant.

The really impressive part of this is that she braved Tacoma.

Also, 20 minutes one way? That's not especially impressive. I have to drive 15 minutes one way to get to any store or restaurant.

...you couldn't just drive to a grocery store? pho isn't exactly complicated and it isn't like you HAVE to marinate it for 24 hours+
Do some research, real pho takes probably 12 hours, most of the time more, of cooking/boiling to get a good broth, especially without msg.
But lol @ 40 miles.
