I'm probably gonna be shot down or eviscerated for saying this, but, I've tasted purple asian basil, regular mint, and probably a bunch of varieties in between, like regular basil we all love in italian food, and mint we love in juleps/mojitos...the mild and strong flavor makes a big difference when cooking.

p.s. I'm a dumbass and I'm probably talking out of my arse.... (<---just quote this, it'll be easier)



after looking it up, you're right. it's thai basil

see how messed up I'd make Pho!

when i looked it up, i found out that the "mint" is actually a coriander leaf. it has many asian names and they consider it vietnamese mint. either way i didn't like it. i think i would like regular normal person mint in it though.

That is what they put in it here. It comes on the stems so unless it looks exactly the same, I think this is it.

yeah.

the stuff they gave us had a lot of red in the leaf and it was spikey, not smooth like that. so they might have used something else. either way it was nasty.
