i remember when the BoP got the Consolidated Staffing Unit...basically a national Human Resources department.
LOTS of people work there, and immediately it cut most local HR's down to 3 people.
we relocated (read as created new jobs) 6 staff, 3 remained.
our local department is now up to 12...THREE more than when their job functions were drastically reduced and consolidated.
THAT is government consolidation for you!
and i wonder how much funny math was used with that 3 billion...i know the savings from freezing government pay was found to be faulty.
