we all know he has no interest in shrinking government, his track record and political philosophy makes that obvious. its crystal clear that this is simply a political move of him sacrificing a chicken to walk away with the cow. whenever politicians do this kind of thing it pisses me off because they're essentially trying to make fools out of all of us and they think we're all stupid enough that we don't understand what they're doing. if you can't hold support based on your true ideals then you don't belong there, don't screw around with transparent political maneuverings that insults the intelligence of your constituents.
The thing with this arguement is that neither does anyone running from the GOP.

There are less people employed by the federal government now....than there were when Reagan left office. Here is how it went....
Carter DECREASED the number of federal employees.
Reagan INCREASED the number of federal employees.
Bush Sr INCREASED the number of federal employees.
Clinton DECREASED the number of federal employees.
Bush Jr INCREASED the number of federal employees.
Obama DECREASED the number of federal employees.
HOLY CARP!!!
For the past 40 years,
Every Democratic administration decreased the number of federal employees...including Obama.
Every Republican administration increased the number of federal employees...including Saint Reagan.
I'll never understand how people are so wrong about basic facts and reality. It's fricken easy to check. '

By getting us out of Iraq and Afghanistan he's done more to shrink government than any recent Pres. Obama is no demi-god but the Republicans may have underestimated him. Their strategy was simple. He's elected but the economy is crap. Obstruct, obstruct obstruct. Back-up plan is to obstruct. Then, when the mess we created doesn't get fixed the people will flock to us.
At some point Obama may have tossed aside the idealism in favor of political savvy.

certain things I stand with him and other subjects I dont stand with him on.
but on the other hand I look at the hand he was dealt when he took office and I can empathize with that because I have drawn some bad hands in life even at a winning table.
plus the only word the GOP knows how to say is NO.
I mean that is just getting old and stale and no once cares just stop being obstructionists and work together for crying out loud.
