I'm still enjoying it, playing 1-50 is a lot like playing a single player game, I figure that was their strategy to get everyone to 50 quick so they could focus content on 1 group of people post-launch...

lost some motivation after hitting 50, still playing tho!

Anyone remember what the end game content was when WoW first came out? Anyone? I'll give you a hint... Molten Core wasn't in yet, there were no world dragons, PvP was ALL open world.. No Battlegrounds or Arena.

Our End game was Black rock... SWTOR is already ahead of the curve. WoW has had nearly 8 years to get to the point it is now. SWTOR already has around half as much content and many unique and fun features. Will it be "the WoW Killer?" Absolutely not. The only thing that will kill WoW is time. Will it be successful for years to come? I think yes. Its a strong IP, a good company with lots of money, and Lucas himself is involved in it (he wasn't involved in SWG at all.) I personally don't care if it ever overtakes WoW as the greatest game ever. For me its a fun game to play until Planetside 2 gets released.

Lolwhat, Molten Core was in at launch. So was Onyxia. There was even a contest during Beta if a guild could kill Onyxia before the beta ended, they could get their guild name reserved.

Not to mention lol at having half of WoWs content, that's wrong and you know it.

Endgame is nothing ground-breaking. I've been 50 for a few weeks, it's the usual gear grind. The gameplay mechanics are solid (and WoW-like) so it's not too painful...I just wish they had more dailies, and the dailies were a bit shorter.

Levelling is what draws you in, though. You can't quite write the game off as WoW in space, because levelling in WoW is insanely boring, the storylines are stupid, the quests are mundane, and you don't even read the quest text. In SWTOR each planet has a unique storyline running alongside of your class story, and most of the quests are more than just 'bring me 8 boar meat'.

I also really like the gear mod system. I've been wearing the same gear for 35 levels because I haven't seen anything I like the look of better yet, and I'm not punished for that because I can toss mods in to make it more and more powerful.

I don't PvP so I won't speak to that.

SWTOR is missing a few things, though, that are supposedly coming soon. Lack of UI customization is probably my biggest gripe, but that's coming in the next major patch, I believe. I already mentioned the lack of dailies at endgame level (there's like...10, maybe, if you don't count group dailies). While each planet is designed with great detail, the flashpoints and even just common caves are somewhat boring - different corridors with a palate/texture swap. The space combat is pretty, but it's dull and feels out of place when compared to the rest of the game.

pretty much this, from the start its better then WoW was if you ask me. WoW as what 7 or 8 years of updates few xpacks. i think as far as the base game goes its better then WoW. it needs time and thats something we dont give mmorpgs now.

as far as pvp i like what they have, the warzone are fine need more but they are cool, hutball i really like other 2 are pretty much WoW bgs. ilum is where i want to pvp its something WoW does not have, as it is now does not work, i have hope they will find a way to make it work. this is where my end game would be if they could fix it.

oh you mean like SWTOR took all the good pvp elements from Warhammer online right? Considering they hired almost all of the people who worked on Warhammer to work on SWTOR(literally) . Just saying, WoW isnt the only other game to 'steal' ideas from other games nor will it be the last.

that was EA basically shifting personal from one department to another department.

I tried some PvP today. Never thought I'd see PvP worse than WoW's, but oh man, it's bad.

God, I miss AC sometimes.
