i would value a blood gem a hell of a lot more than i would value a lab gem. the more people who die for whatever i'm buying, the happier i'll be with it.

if you are going to buy something that serves absolutely no purpose and ultimately nothing more than a scam and clever marketing ploy ...u may as well buy the cheaper option

This is why I try to avoid buying retail jewelry whenever possible. I need to get around to taking a metals class so I can learn to set the stones I used to buy direct from Thailand, prior to the tsunami several years ago.

Generally I buy from ebay or the second hand store "good case" or the pawn shop.

I gave my wife a lab diamond ring when we were still dating (not her wedding ring, that was real). They're pretty, but there is something about them that just seems off when compared to a natural stone. If you didn't know they were lab-created, though, you'd never notice.

I don't wear much jewelery but I would prefer lab created.

I would prefer buying a lab created gem. I don't plan to wear either.

I really doubt if a non-professional could tell the difference without a fancy certificate and I'd wouldn't be surprised if the professionals couldn't either...

lab created diamonds are still very expensive and not that good yet but i'm sure that will change over time

lab created emeralds have been around for a long time and while they aren't cheap they are a lot less expensive than a mined one
