Lab created precious gemstones?

I'm curious what other people think about these lab created stones? Chemically they're the same as natural stones, with superior color and clarity.
Do you care if your gemstones come from nature or science?

actually, some stones are so rare in the most pure color and clarity, that if you give someone a too perfect stone, they might question it.
My deal is that I wouldn't care, I'd be happy that whomever purchased it for me didn't spend a fortune on a piece of jewelry... but you talk to some people and they're appalled that anyone would wear lab created.

Now that I've covered wedding crap, I don't care much about gemstones unless I prospect them myself.
For someone that isn't in to geology, I don't see why lab created versus prospected is a big deal. Semi-precious especially are way to common for it to make a difference.
