I must have acid reflux because if I don't have my head well tilted I wake up sometimes with acid in my throat and feel like I'm going to throw up.
How can you *not* sleep with a pillow?

Same here, i can sleep on either side fine, but if on my back, then I have one pillow flat under the second doubled up.

I have acid reflux, when its well under control I sleep with one firm pillow, lately I've had to use 3 and 4 pillows, 3 firm and my soft lumpy cuddle pillow that I just refuse to give up. I stole it from a best western somewhere in New Mexico when I was driving my car home (bought it online and had to pick it up in Dallas).

i like really thin pillows.
my girlfriend only has like 10-inch thick firm ones and i can't stand them so i usually use her other pillows for my head cushion.
