In most cases they'll have your resume right there with your work history and education right on it.
I would kind of think they're looking for something they can't find on your resume
More often than not an interview isnt just from a technical point of view. Reap is right, they have your resume they already know that... what they are usually looking to see if YOU will be a good fit PERONALITY-WISE with the people they already have. Remember, you are selling yourself

I usually list personal interests and hobbies that make me seem active, creative, and outgoing, and omit ones that they may question would have an effect on my job performance. I never tell interviewers that I'm a gamer (either virtual or not) and I never would, unless I was applying for a position at a game company. I often tell them that I'm outdoorsy and like to write fiction or draw in my spare time.

I actually told a panel of interviewers, last year, that I spend my free time reading, and occasionally playing video games(what the hell do I care what people think of me if the know I game), and one of the people asked - "So, do you know anything about this game Skyrim, that just came out? My wife bought it for me, but I haven't gotten to play it yet."
Then I wanted to come here, and feed you all to the wolves for all of your Skyrim nonsense.
