Was there a time you did not even have a TV in the house? NO

Was there a time when the only TV you had was a black and white? YES, for a long time.

Was there a time you only had one TV? Yes, for a long time.

Was there a time you only had one car? NO

Was there a time you had to share a bedroom with a sibling? Yes

Did many meals consist of Spam? Not many, but my dad really liked it

Did you eat salmon cakes made from canned Pink Salmon? Yes, and still do sometimes.

Were there times you only had one pair of shoes? Yes

Did you roam the neighborhood with your family lawn mower looking for lawns to mow for money? NO, we had to mow about 5 acres ourselves. We didn't wanna mow the neighbor's grass!!

Did you survive all of your childhood and not once ever eat at a fast food joint? NO

Would you see/hear commercials for fast food places and wonder what the food was like? NO, we had a McDonald's, burger King, and other places. We went to them sometimes.


I can answer 'yes' to all of these.

I have the exact opposite reaction.

My parents combined income was well over 6 figures.

I answered yes to 8 of those.

I deleted all of the nos

There were a few that are iffy... we didn't own a lawn mower... so I couldn't really do that one; for instance and we did have a fast food place; but the only one in town was Burger King
