For the area I lied in? Nope, outside of the drug dealer families like the Larkins, I was in one of the richest families in town. That doesn't mean I got anything served to me on a silver platter.

Was there a time you did not even have a TV in the house?
No... We always had a TV in every room of the house.
Was there a time when the only TV you had was a black and white?
The only black and white TV we ever had was in the three car garage.
Was there a time you only had one TV?
lol... no
Was there a time you only had one car?
My dad collected a couple. There was never a point that we didn't have three that were driven regularly.
Was there a time you had to share a bedroom with a sibling?
Until I was five I shared a room with my brother.
Did many meals consist of Spam?
I don't think I've ever had spam.
Did you eat salmon cakes made from canned Pink Salmon?
A few times. I thought it was pretty good.
Were there times you only had one pair of shoes?
Not until I went to college.
Did you roam the neighborhood with your family lawn mower looking for lawns to mow for money?
I lived on a few hundred acre farm. There was always land to mow. I didn't have to look for poor people's lawns to mow..
Did you survive all of your childhood and not once ever eat at a fast food joint?
Unfortunately no. I was exposed to the big mac at about the age of 10 when going on family trips. At church I was given lots of papajohns and so began my love for pizza...
Would you see/hear commercials for fast food places and wonder what the food was like?
Still do. My wonder is usually turned to thoughts of *barf barf barf* when I read/hear descriptions of the food.... poor people eat some gross things. Yesterday at work asked if I wanted anything from McDonald's since he was going. It was all I could do not to barf on him.

My dad left my mom with 5 kids and no income. If not for her owning our house through her first divorce, we would have been homeless. Mom had a back injury, but started cleaning houses anyway to make sure we could eat and have electricity.
I often ate at the neighbor's house.
I don't think your questions really have anything to do with being poor or not, everyone's situation is different.
