OK, for you non thinkers:
Britain has decided to cooperate with the United States in a bilateral agreement to release strategic oil stocks, two British sources said, in an effort to prevent high fuel prices derailing economic growth in a U.S. election year.
So, if they can make this a year in which more people are happy because economic growth was not derailed the voters should be happier with the president and want to reelect him. Now when they say because it's an election year, voters should be smart enough to realize Obama would not seek this effort to help us be happy.
And you believe (obviously since you think this is a negative on Obama ) that voters will pay attention to the election year thing and blame Obama for their lower gas prices as opposed to not paying any damn attention to the election year and just caring that gas prices are lower.
Please go on, this is getting good, enjoying myself.

We arent talking about you, or me. We are talking about how this will negatively impact Obama, please keep telling us more about how thats going to happen. Basically what we've got so far is that you think most people will see through this as an election ploy (hilarity) and what else. Please keep going I needs the funnay today.
