Supply wasn't the issue to begin with, so I'm not sure how this is supposed to help. Oil prices are high because of Iran's saber-rattling and their oil export response to sanctions, and that doesn't even affect US oil inventories because we don't buy any fking oil from Iran to begin with. Gas prices have also been affected by regional issues, like the refinery fire here in WA.
I would be surprised to see a substantial drop in gas price from this.
Its all about speculation and the oil companies driving up prices.
I want to hear reapists tale though, I need the funny today badly.

You fail at comprehension. I did not ever address why prices are the way they are. I too understand that. But hey, you sound like a substitute teacher that knows more than everyone else because of his job. No one outside your industry could ever see things as clearly as you do.

OK, for you non thinkers:
Britain has decided to cooperate with the United States in a bilateral agreement to release strategic oil stocks, two British sources said, in an effort to prevent high fuel prices derailing economic growth in a U.S. election year.
So, if they can make this a year in which more people are happy because economic growth was not derailed the voters should be happier with the president and want to reelect him. Now when they say because it's an election year, voters should be smart enough to realize Obama would not seek this effort to help us be happy.
