Im betting not since he roomate knew that the gay guy had been having guy friends over. He pretty much set up the web cam to catch him being gay. and why would he tweet about it and tell his friends to come and watch the second time if his intent wasnt to humiliate his roommate in the first place? its really not that hard to understand but Im loving all the sympathy for the STILL alive straight guy from everyone
Yep because this kind of thing has never happened to a straight guy making out with a girl, ever ever. Every single person on the planet would totally respect that a guy was gonna have a girl over and not sneakily set up a webcam to watch and/or make fun of later. No no, clearly it ONLY happens to gays and it must be a hate crime.

I mean you can sit there and tell me that if two guys are roommates for any length of time and one roommate only has GUY "friends" over and never ANY girls at all you dont think the other roommate would suspect that he was gay? Esp when he asked if he could have the room until midnight? Its one thing to be curious and mind your own business its something else entirely to set your web cam up to catch your roommate messing around with another guy and trying to broadcast it not once but twice to as many people as you possibly can.
Even if he would've done it to a straight roommate he wouldnt have alerted people to the fact that it was happening, he wanted to publicly humiliate his roommate and thats what he did which caused his roommate to commit suicide since he couldnt take the humiliation.
My only question is why isnt this kid in jail for murder? He might as well pushed the gay kid off the GW bridge himself for all that it matters in what he did to precipitate the suicide.

I totally agree.
Also, people who commit suicide have other issues. No one thing makes a person suddenly decide to off himself. Blaming this guy and then convicting him is outrageous imo. (And I come from a pro gay environment.)

Yeah the majority of gay people are like Poit..theyre sheeple. They think straight people accept them because they keep their sexual identity in the closet 99% of the time so that the "normal" straight people dont ever have to think about it while the straight people parade their sexuality in our faces 24/7. Its attitudes like that who have caused these suicides among young adults and teens over the past few years.
Im not saying that you have to shout it from the rooftops every five minutes to be annoying about it just for attention but dang it all Im going to be "normal" too. Im going to talk about my sexuality when I think its appropriate and interject my point of view from my life perspective when I choose to do so. If you or anyone have a problem whether they are gay or straight with that then they can eff off. I just wish someone had been brave enough to tell the gay guy in this story and all the other tragic suicides that have happened over the last few years due to anti gay acts and bullying. Im already tired of hearing "it gets better" Im ready for it to be "it is better now!"

yeah thats a totally different thing all together, you really do like comparing apples and oranges dont you Jezza? Making a sex tape is one thing. What his roommate did on the same level of rape in my opinion. He video taped him during a very intimate moment without his knowledge or approval. How much more can you violate someone without physically touching them?

Considering I have a friend who was posted to one of the websites without her consent... Yes I do think they allow videos to get posted to them without consent. It took her 3 months to get the site to remove the video, and it wasn't because of lawyers it was because she managed to talk her ex into requesting its removal.
