Lug nuts just don't come off unless not put on properly. If you just had work done I would think you have a claim and at the very least find a new mechanic. Now if you're driving around a piece of isht, charge more for your cookies and buy a better car. Glad your ok either way.

It was a lil scary. Oh scratch that...it was a LOT scary!
I was trying to steer my car and slow down while closing my eyes right before impact as I thought I was hitting the tree.
I was glad that my airbag did not deploy

Thank You...today was the FIRST 'blemish' on my 2003 Civic si  I pray that there is not too much damage underneath...so they will repair it. Do not make that vehicle anymore

I was working on a car once and trying to free a rusted wheel.
I took the lug nuts off, hopped in the drivers seat and drove it down the road and slammed the brakes a few times. That damn thing never broke free, I ended up driving it to a shop and letting them deal with getting the wheel off.
