Yeah Reap...the whole wheel came off. I think the hub was still intact. The tow driver from AAA had that car out of the ditch so fast and smooth...could not see much.
I think the gent that inspected it just had the wheels off to inspect it last week...but not 100% certain.

Speaking of losing a wheel. I had new tires, alignment, the whole deal. Drove to a client then drove home... all highway travel. The next morning I noticed something didn't look quite right. I look closer and like three lugs were missing from the rear passenger side wheel. I check the others and they are all finger loose except one is tight and it wasn't like torqued tight just tight from the way the tire was pushing on it. When I tightened the others up the last one got finger loose too. Anyway, tightened it all down and raised hell with the shop. They took it in and realigned it, replaced the tire on that wheel as it was worn unevenly and scratched up and tested everything out. This was back in the day though and I've never been a big complainer as long the problem got dealt with so that was the end of it. Would've been a different story if that wheel had come off on the highway though, heh.

Possibly  Actually the two vehicles that were behind me stopped and waited until the police came...which took a lil bit because we were on a back road and in a dead zone. I wish I had gotten their names because they walked a lil distance, in the rain, to call the police for me.
They also were trying to help me out of the vehicle because the driver side was face down into the ditch. I was able to climb out the passenger side unaided...tho my car may not have fared so well.

This is actually one of my greatest fears, highway speed tire blow outs or tire run aways... Im glad your okay.

Thank You I just took an anti-inflammatory for my neck and may ice it a lil bit...but I did not hit my head or anything so I should be fine
