I think the opposite about suicide. If someone really doesn't wantto ply the game of life, who are other people to force it down on them..
However I do agree if you're doing this and you've left behind children or a wife, it is a cowards way. but if it was something like a lonely old man, or a pathetic virgin with no family i say why not.
If theyre not finding happiness in this life, perhaps they could find it in what lies next.

Yes, if you look at it like that, it does seem selfish. It is both the easy way out for someone with deep seated problems, and it is everyone else who is left to pick up the pieces. As Zall said, however, for someone who is severely depressed/suffering from a mental health disorder, they aren't thinking in any logical form. Often they find themselves such a burden on everyone around them, that suicide is actually away of helping them.

On the bright side, life is meaningless.  When all is said and done and everything we ever did or didn't do is forgotten, entropy will reign supreme. In the end we're all just shadows and dust.

How predictable. Just because life is meaningless (at this stage of evolution) doesn't meat I don't try to enjoy the time I have here cupcake. Merely existing I make things better for others. Now go make me a pb&j sandwich.

Actually people havent really trolled...The reason i made this post is because some people never realize how serious or common suicides are.
This is just something i felt needed to be posted....As iv said in previous posts ....U never truthfully know who or when sum1 will do such a thing. So sometimes its just best to check up on someone

I'm sorry, but suicide is the most pathetically selfish thing that someone can do. To leave the rest of your family and friends with the burden of your death, emotionally, financially, etc. it's a complete cop out.
I'm sorry for your loss, and I've had friends take their own lives as well and every time it just pisses me off to no end.
certainly it can be selfish, but maybe you underestimate the pain some people go through. I wouldn't want to say anything that makes suicide seem like an acceptable answer, but have some compassion for what some people go through, and don't take their situation lightly.

I've had a few family members commit suicide so I've dealt with it, myself. It's tough, of course, but it's kind of hard to let it get you completely down since it's not like some random accident, which I would expect would be worse (hasn't happened in my family circle / circle of friends, knock on wood).
That said..."going to be serious a moment" and you still had to type a damn tilde~
