Rear snare is nice to have and surely usefull but friars main problem is that they dont land their styles ( Not enough Dex / Weaponskill ) and that their celerity shout does not stack with their haste buff so this change wont change the fact that staff friars just suck.

Friar = warden, and warden is same way. its a healer first and a fighter second.

shouldnt be some style landing rambo tank killer.



Haste shout now co-exists with self haste, which provides 30 sec burst dps. Coupled with rear snare it makes Friars perfectly whine. Low dex/ws complaint is irrelevant, since with a bit of footwork you can send virgin rr12 heavy tanks running back to their keeps.





haste doesnt mean squat if you can't land the hits

Come at me virgin friars.

The Relic Gate system has been de-activated, and no longer requires opening in order to capture a Relic.
Players carrying a Relic may no longer board a Scout boat.
Players carrying a Relic may no longer zone into the Passage of Conflict.
Players carrying a Relic will now emit a faint, pulsing beacon effect visible by other characters within clip range.
Players carrying a Relic are no longer allowed in the vicinity of their Borderkeeps.


lol, glad i got my 50 relic takes, first on albion, before these changes.
think i spent 8 years driving relics on scout boats and telling them not to go through POC.

Some nice changes, some pointless ones.

Silence nerf was definitely not necessary; there weren't that many good counters available to tanks to use against abilities like phaseshift & MoC, and using it at the right moment (lasts <10 seconds once every 15 minutes) was very key. The extra resists is probably going to be a little OP if anything.

I really hope they remove phaseshift now tbh.

AE root in suppression for RMs is pointless too. Supp is a utility/8v8 line (AE root in 8v8 isn't that useful), and the root would be better in a link like RC or Dark where people are more likely to use it for zerg vs. zerg or soloing.

I really, really like the Friar and VW changes though.

AoM no longer increasing duration is nice, so is rampage on heavy tanks getting boosted. My zerk is going to have pretty ridiculous magic resists now though.

Don't see the need for end buffs being increased. I rarely run out of end on any class, and the ones that do need it (battlemaster styles) will either have end redux in group anyway or wont need it because of the nature of the group setup.

Mauler change doesn't really affect the class tbh.

Relic changes are iffy; I don't really like the sound of it tbh. I think the fact that you can take relics so easily atm prevents one realm from being overwhelmingly powerful (i.e. 6 relics), and realm with relics have to defend several points (every keep to prevent gates being opened, the shrines themselves, and the other relic keeps).

Leave silence intact. Change the resists to the secondary use instead of the regen/essence resist.

The only problem I see with this patch is that Friars should NOT be able to spec high Rej, enhance (for superior support), and still be able to spec 29 staff for the rear snare. A support toon should not have access to rear snare. Any well played support friar should be able to kite anything after this patch, which is ok on a melee toon, but will turn the tide of alb groups on a toon that can single target heal for 1500 and group heal for 600.

Friar rear snare needs to be level 41.
