I think this will be obvious. They are going to make World of Starcraft. It is the next linear and logical thing. Warcraft went down the same path from strait RTS to RTS with Lore to MMO. Now Starcraft has done the same. I would be very surprised if this was not the move that Blizzard is making. Though I am not a fan of the Starcraft series I may pick this up and play it for the 10-Day trial.
I eventually see them merging the worlds, with the introduction of Dranei in Burning Crusade, having spaceships it is just a matter of introducing all the starcraft line to the warcraft line. Even though I think it would be the destruction of the entire series.

You might want to take a look at this http://www.riftgame.com/en/index.php it is currently in beta and is looking to be a well made game.
That Rift game almost looks to good to be true especially the class system where the sky is just about the limit on hybrid toon creation, it is the complete opposite of the direction WoW is going, no way I am not going to try that game out.

The difficulty in MMOs is not with coming up with good concepts, it's with executing them well.

Yeah, I've got my eye on that one. I'll wait until it's been released and is out for a while. I jumped into Aion and AoC early and....well, yeah.

If the next big things coming out are space-based or FPS, I might as well just buy WoW game time in bigger chunks for the discount since that would mean nothing coming out will interest me in the least.

Come to think of it, Diablo I and WoW are really the only blizzard games I ever liked.
Me too. I have a hard time focusing on more than one thing at a time. So I'm WoW for life. Haven't even played consoles in years.
