some of the class combinations are gonna be really awesome in pve for sure

for some other examples that havent been listed here so far

from WOW, (Pre Cata), imagine playing a Fire Mage, Shadow Priest build, doing major dps while vamp healing your raid

you can with the Pyromancer/Chloromancer build.

Imagine playing a 2h Axe wielding Shaman, that can tank and heal his party with hots

Shaman/Justicar/Warden might just be up your ally.

this game could still be so much better, the Pet system is very weak, the crafting system is just as boring as WOW, and both of those aspects need improvement.

But one thing I know for sure, TRION is definitely listening to its testers, I have never seen so many changes so fast from Beta 1 to Beta 2, and now from Beta 2 to Beta 3 starting Dec 28, there is even more changes. Example, Rift originally was slated to be released with you only having 3 souls to chose from your archetype at launch, with your 2nd soul at level 6, now they are allowing all starting souls at start. Originally you got 51 soul points at 50, now then have upped it to 60, because people really want more balanced variety.

They listen, they work with the community, and are putting out a polished product. I too also ran (Like Sprawl) around 25-40 FPS, and normally in every game that is unacceptable, but in RIFT I never lagged 1x even when over 50+ players in an area.

I don't see how you're easily confusing this game with WAR. I've played both and see no similarities in graphics. Also, I do not see goblins running around in RIFT, or tiers you have to advance through (while looking at the map). If you're just saying you can compare the two because they're MMO's then ok, I can understand you there.

The reason people dont want to play WoW anymore is because it's old and stale. Refurbished content just with a different color coating. It's time for a much needed change.

How are you predicting failure already? On people not saying anything because they were under a NDA? Is your margin of success set at 8 million subscribers/box sales? If so then you need to get off of Blizzards cock and expand your horizon.

Another thing, the game is in beta and is polished. That right there speaks a lot more then any other game that has released in the past few years. These developers obviously care what we (the player-base) think and are making improvements as the beta advances.

I'm definitely trying this one out. WoW certainly isn't offering anything new for the next couple of years.


The whole freedom to make whatever class combos you want is the biggest draw for me.


QUESTION: Does your armor match as you level, or do you have all the mis-colored/mis-matched clown vomit look like in WoW?
