Name me an MMO that has ever actually achieved true balance. (All DPS = DPS , All healers = healers, all Tanks = tanks) you cant do it.
If there were no such thing as dmg meters or nerds that wasted the time scouring logs, anything inside of a 25% variance in DPS would be trivial to most.
The days of play the class that you enjoy are gone. Its the "I have to be at the top" mentality that is ruining it for yourselves.
Ret Pali's are middle of the pack DPS.. so what. Ive seen great ones excel and I have seen average ones be average.
Both groups went great without a hitch. The only difference between the 2 is that the latter didnt get to spam the recount stats and dislocate his arm patting himself on the back.
Someone has to be at the top and some have to be at the bottom.. is it that hard to get?

Yeah... no. Retadins are the worst hybrid in the game. They are not the worst dps in the game but they are the worst hybrid in the game.

As to the conspiracy theory... no. Retadins suck because retadins suck.
I was looking at world of logs. I've yet to see anything besides a template on that website. Maybe it just isn't Chrome friendly.

not that it matters. this post is moot. retadins were very overpowered in wrath. they are now mediocre on the dps charts rather than at the top of them. plenty of other classes, even dps specific classes, come in under them on dps. so while people might bitch that their class is nerfed there is absolutely nothing to back up the claim that they're the worst dps right now and plenty of information that proves otherwise.
The link shows that retadins are directly under elemental.

eh...depends on if you go by the median or the overall numbers i guess. its pretty close anyway.
at any rate i think they can't call themselves the worst when pure dps specs like rogues combat and both marksman and beast spec hunters, just to name a few, fall below them on overall dps.
they're in the area of "needs a little love" but they aren't broken.

Meh, if you played a pally since vanilla (and ret - which back then was a joke), you shrug it off and roll with it, because Blizz loves to fiddle with them, not sure what their role is from major patch to expansion to major patch... Yeah, Ret was OP in LK. Apparently it's not now. Another round, another nerf/buff cycle. If you love the class, you play it. Next?
PS: I thought the latest theory about Blizz dev's CYA was telling customers exactly how to play, not breaking classes? <straightface>

Unfortunately ret dps is pretty low and it doesn't help you need to bust your ass just to get decent dps. Ret mechanics right now is not fun at all. I don't allow retgimps in my group ever because their dps sucks.

It is no secret that Ret Pallies have by far and away the lowest DPS in the game right now but it is why that has me ticked off beyond belief.
What I was told is that the Dev's were getting a lot of heat about the que times and the lack of heals and tanks that were causing it and were told to in no uncertain terms to do something about it or else. So they did, but not by making healing or tanks better or more fun to play. Instead they took one of the most popular classes the in the game the Paladin and broke its Ret tree making it virtually unplayable in order to force people whom play that class in to heal or tank roles.
If true, and the Ret tree is so broken it can't be an accident, these jackals for all intents and purposes deliberately manipulated their customer base to protect their own butts!
I don't know about anyone else but being used as a puppet to protect someone else's job that should have been terminated long ago just makes blood shoot out of my eyes.
This post, like every other you've made to date, is so filled with idiocy I don't even know where to begin insulting you.

It is if there is any grain of truth to what you read about Rets posted on the official forum.
It is if those whom were " face rolling 10k" on their keyboards at 80 are barely doing 2k at 81.
It is when you consider most that still play that tree have to use an add-on to tell them what to cast to generate any meaningful DPS because of its all over the board WHACK-A-MOLE type of rotation priorities.
