I maybe late to the boat on this but if what I was told is correct the WoW development team have sunk to an all time low.


It is no secret that Ret Pallies have by far and away the lowest DPS in the game right now but it is why that has me ticked off beyond belief.


What I was told is that the Dev's were getting a lot of heat about the que times and the lack of heals and tanks that were causing it and were told to in no uncertain terms to do something about it or else. So they did, but not by making healing or tanks better or more fun to play. Instead they took one of the most popular classes the in the game the Paladin and broke its Ret tree making it virtually unplayable in order to force people whom play that class in to heal or tank roles.


If true, and the Ret tree is so broken it can't be an accident, these jackals for all intents and purposes deliberately manipulated their customer base to protect their own butts!


I don't know about anyone else but being used as a puppet to protect someone else's job that should have been terminated long ago just makes blood shoot out of my eyes.

You should play a Ret Pally before ranting on it so you know what you're talking about.

I haven't played my Ret Pally in a long time so I'm not going to comment on it but if I had to pick an overpowered class pre Cat, it was the the Ret Pally.

The devs have commented that they never intended for Pallys to be one man armies.

What the eff are you talking about? The retadin isn't broken, it just isn't stupidly overpowered like it was. Go look at world of logs. The overly exceptional DPS, which the devs are nerfing with this PTR, are Unholy DKs and Survival Hunters.

Sorry you can't roll your face on the keyboard and break 10k anymore.

Ret pallies were retardedly overpowered pre-Cat, matter of fact ALL talents of the pally were OP. I'm GLAD they've been nerfed.

Ret pallys dont do bad DPS. A well geared/played one will do very nice and comparable DPS. This is unlike WoTLK when you could pull top spot DPS in a 5-man with greens/some blues. It was never supposed to be this way in the first place. Now they are decent.


If you want to complain, go play a Sub Rogue in PvE. My DPS blows but...I love the spec so, whatever.

As to the conspiracy theory... no. Retadins suck because retadins suck.

actually according to that link elemental shamans are.

not that it matters. this post is moot. retadins were very overpowered in wrath. they are now mediocre on the dps charts rather than at the top of them. plenty of other classes, even dps specific classes, come in under them on dps. so while people might bitch that their class is nerfed there is absolutely nothing to back up the claim that they're the worst dps right now and plenty of information that proves otherwise.
