Well, to be fair, I voted priest. Everyone expects them to cure stupid. So, if the class requires you to make your idiot players look good, I'll say that one takes skill . . . and a ton of patience.

I concur, lol...working on the patience part

I am 99% sure Rogue was the comedy option.

Korrigan plays a DK, fanatically. This poll is like a Falcon Punch to the groin for the guy...

Anyone who plays a warrior for any time at all knows the answer to this question. My Paladin tank is easy mode compaired to my Warrior tank. Even as a DPS it takes a lot of careful timing with a warrior.

First, the poll missed a class.

Second, the poll doesn't take specs into account. A same class can be faceroll for a spec and more difficult for another.

Third, I think difficulty is more based on role than on class.

Tank / Healer = "harder".
Dps = "easier".

The most critical role is Tank anyway. If the tank screws up, it's most of the times a wipe. If a healer or a DPS screws or dies, you can most of the times recover. Tanks have the less margin for mistakes. And this is coming from someone who played all the four roles (Tank / Healer / Melee DPS / Ranged DPS) in raids.

Then, there are disparities in the same role. I will for instance have way more "admiration" for someone topping the DPS meters on an Enhancement Shaman than a guy facerolling his keyboard on a Mage or on a Frost DK (with the actual game state of course). I voted shaman for that reason, but there are other specs that deserve "admiration" when played well.

That's ridiculous. Tanks and healers are not harder to play just because their roles are slightly more significant. I play my priest and I just sit there yawning, keeping 25 people alive in Hard Modes and I could do it with one hand.

Difficulty of playing a class "well" doesn't have the slightest thing to do with their role. I've known tanks who think they have the easiest job in the world, same with healers, and I know from a DPS standpoint on my Warlock that it's one of the most difficult classes to master and truly do well as.

As far as the tank being the most critical role: No it's not. Every role in every raid is critical. Take the tanks out, the raid doesn't do anything. Take the healers out, same. Take the DPS out, same. Every role is critical.

But, I'd probably be right if I guessed you played a tank, so we're both biased to our sides.

Your logic is flawed for the simple reason I explained above.
If a DPS among all dies, the encounter continues, and the DPS will most likely be combat ressed.
If a Healer among all dies, same thing.
If a tank dies... there are only one, two, or rarely three tanks for a raid boss. When there are two, it's always for a good reason, like the need to tank switch because of a debuff, or the need to take care of adds. If a tank screws up, misses a cooldown, screws up a taunt, fails to intercept adds, doesn't place the boss properly or oriented properly, it's immediately several deaths in the raid, at best, and a wipe at worse.
Note that I also didn't say "harder" role, but "critical" role. Very different things. I will also add "involved" role. As I said, I played all roles in a raid context, and the reason I went back to tank with the DK (after being tank with my Druid before a break) is that the role involves so much more than just clicking buttons and facerolling your keyboard to top a meter. It's simple, after playing tank, I'm quickly bored when I have to do another role. And all the people I know whose main is a tank have the same reaction.
