First, the poll missed a class.
Second, the poll doesn't take specs into account. A same class can be faceroll for a spec and more difficult for another.
Third, I think difficulty is more based on role than on class.
Tank / Healer = "harder".
Dps = "easier".
The most critical role is Tank anyway. If the tank screws up, it's most of the times a wipe. If a healer or a DPS screws or dies, you can most of the times recover. Tanks have the less margin for mistakes. And this is coming from someone who played all the four roles (Tank / Healer / Melee DPS / Ranged DPS) in raids.
Then, there are disparities in the same role. I will for instance have way more "admiration" for someone topping the DPS meters on an Enhancement Shaman than a guy facerolling his keyboard on a Mage or on a Frost DK (with the actual game state of course). I voted shaman for that reason, but there are other specs that deserve "admiration" when played well.

SWTOR: 50 Jedi Shadow (Tank), 50 Sith Marauder (Annihilation).
LOTRO: Lifetime account, playing very casually.
WoW: Both accounts canceled for now.
GW2: Future Warrior.

It tells me that this is a very cynical board, myself included. However, even though the game is very easy over all, there are still some classes that are more challenging then others.
Cynicism aside, the problem is "more challenging" is relative, not absolute. Classes my daughter can play in her sleep, my husband will never come close to mastering. A spec that's obvious and easy for me, is a struggle for my daughter. It's inherent in our different thought processing, (as well as kinesthetic ability, etcetera.) I can argue that some classes require more thought, some more twitch response, or more rigid adherence to a pattern... these are all different intelligences. Which is why I usually advise folks to pick a class that "best fits" them and their way of thinking. So what is hard for one may be easy for another and vice versa.

Even so, and I hate to use the term, but balance is more or less achieved if players tend to think all the classes are equally easy to play.
Now, before someone jumps all over me, I'm not saying the game or classes are balanced, but I'm not hearing screams for nerfs like I usually see on any given board.
Besides, it's more or less, personal taste. As far as skill . . . personally?
I think Blizzard removed the need with these new talent changes. Heck, there's even a flash on the screen to tell you when to use an ability. The only way it would get easier is if the computer played the game for you . . . and pets nearly do that too.

We have a winner! Try to keep up folks.
Second! I wasn't looking to create anti matter with the results of this poll, I was looking to see a general opinion on how everyone viewed the difference classes. Its an opinion based poll.
I agree with what Auenwing was saying, different strokes for different folks, but Korrigan.. lol lighten up man. This is a poll on the VN boards, have some perspective.

Well, to be fair, I voted priest. Everyone expects them to cure stupid. So, if the class requires you to make your idiot players look good, I'll say that one takes skill . . . and a ton of patience.

Korrigan plays a DK, fanatically. This poll is like a Falcon Punch to the groin for the guy...

There are those who play tank classes, and those that tank.
The weapon is only as good as the person wielding it.
Free advice is often worth what you pay for it: nothing.
