DAOC was awesome 10 years ago, but time has passed it by. I will always love the time i had playing that game. Well except for ML3, that time I will never get back!

But as most have said, going back now is just not what it use to be. The community and the people who played then are what made it great, and they are all gone.

You'd be better served advocating three-faction (or, at least, "more-than-two faction" design to the developers of the Warhammer 40K MMO.

There is a Warhammer 40K MMO in the works? Please tell me a good developer is doing it.

THQ are developing it, not due until fiscal year 2013 though. See http://massively.joystiq.com/category/warhammer-40k/ for some articles about it.

The angst from those following it is that it is apparently going to use a two faction system like WAR.

Hell yeah, I'm excited now! I happen to prefer a two faction system, people always forget how stupidly unbalanced the three faction system was in DAoC. It's hard enough to balance two factions, much less three.

At least it's not Mythic - there's hope

You're not concerned that it might fall victim to the "one faction is KEWL, therefore more people play it, therefore they win more, therefore even more people play it, repeat ad infinitum" problem?

Was just trying to make conversation about the pros and cons of the two approaches. But don't worry, I can read well enough to now know that there is zero point trying to converse with you, if you're just going to be an asshole.
