What would you do in this situation? |
After gearing my rogue and hunter in ZA/ZG, I decided to throw my warrior into a few runs. After a couple bosses a mage pointed out that half my gear was PvP gear (which is is) and laughed at me for being in the run.
Here was my course of action:
- I posted the recount for the boss we just killed
- Me (19k), Hunter (15k), Mage (14k), tank (..)
- I then voted to kick the mage and he was replaced
Was this bad? Am I a mean person? What would you have done? Granted my hunter could pull 20k on the boss but I figured my warrior was holding his own. It was good for laughs in the group anyway.

The mage was an asshat. PvP gear's just fine for heroics. Even if it's just a filler until you get something comparable. They're heroics, not raids.
I don't know that I'd have booted him, but if he kept pressing the point and was showing worse dps than both you and the hunter it was probably a good idea.

I wouldn't have vote-kicked him immediately. I would rather have enjoyed his embarrassment at the recount numbers first... (but maybe you did).

I'm bad with names. The one where he insta-gibs people, the NPC rezzes you and there is his pet raptor that he keeps rezzing. Bloodlord Mandokir I think.
Edit: Every boss was the same (order not numbers) except for Jin'do. I was humping the chains cause I didn't want to miss slams. Only had some AE add damage and his phase 1 damage.
