So anyway... A few friends and I decided to see what was going on with this so we jumped on our lowbie alts and faced this team which was bringing the rogue up:
The rogue is 2441 already because his teammates have dropped their mmrs to 1429 and 447 (lol) which makes their team mmr 1439. So they are playing low teams and the rogue is in full 372 gear now.
We didn't face them again so we got another noobie team and faced them:
You can see that the rogue has now moved up to 2562 by facing teams in the 1550's.
and then finally.
The rogue is now at 2631 and still climbing by facing lowbie teams.
His partners will have to go drop their mmrs some more so he doesn't have to risk playing anyone above 1550.
Now the way MMR and team rating works is: You do not lose any team rating for losing a game if you are not near your mmr. So the rogue will get to some astronomical mmr and then pair up with his 2 friends who have also used this system and hope to be able to beat lowbie teams to sky rocket their team rating up to their mmr.

I, on the other hand, prefer a command-line system 'cause i'm so hardcore
