With the current MMR system the following exploit/clever use of game mechanics, whatever you want to call it, can award anyone with enough time on their hands with a gladiator and possibly rank one title. All you need to do is this http://i.imgur.com/iR9rb.jpg.

You get 2 teammates with low mmr thus boosting your mmr while winning. Their mmr barely goes up because the system thinks you are carrying them thus awarding you even more mmr.

Once your mmr reaches 3.8-4k which is just a matter of time with an average mmr of MERELY 1800 you do the same process with 2 more characters to get their mmr to 3.8-4k.

Then you get these 3 farmed up characters with 4k mmr and voila your average team mmr is 4000.. without ever having to worry about facing a team over 2k mmr.

The thread you linked to from the official forums has been deleted. Guess it's "working as intended."

It's sad that after investing so much time and money, and putting the community through so many nerf and buff cycles, to make arenas work they're still such a mess.

Its sad when "exploit early, exploit often" determines "success" in a game...and "skill" has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Arena blows goats, and they should never have been introduced to the game.


I'll go so far as to say that if you want PVP gear, you HAVE to play on a PVP server....and remove PVE servers from the battlegroups entirely.

They chose PVE only servers...give it to them.

WoW took soo much from other games(which is common now) and yet they never looked into or spent some of their billions to hire people to create, borrow or balance a working pvp system. Many games have came and gone, yet WoW stands alone as the worst tested/balanced game ever in the MMO genre for pvp. Even Shadowbane had its shit together better than this.
