I just want to take a moment to thank Kewk for the compliment. It really means alot to me and my fellow pug random Ahole tankers and clearly something that was long overdue. I play all 4 tank classes at 85, do the random heroics, pug raids and so on. But Kewk is right and that makes me an Aholex4. Or as I like to think of it, King Ahole.
It's true there are people out there that play this game alot more, have better stuff, never lag, use more effective macros or know the really arcane strategies that take years to master to defeat the ruthless WoW AI better then I do. But it's nice to know that people, especially people that "don't f up" realize I am still at least 4x better then they are because I tank.
Yeah, $hit happens, it happens pretty often actually in a pug random, in fact I would almost say I really couldn't take credit for it when it does happen as much as a really ambitious and truly dedicated Ahole like myself should. Now I've been called an Ahole before, even a flaming Ahole, almost affectionately as "that drunk Ahole" and many other colorful varieties of Ahole, but even I sometimes worried if I was really making the difference in peoples lives that I knew I could. Today, I feel like I am finally earning the recognition I deserve.
"King of the WoW tank Aholes" is really something to be proud of and definately a step up for me and my career goals. So thank you Kewk. Thank you so very much. I hope I can live up to the title and frustate even more perfectly entitled strangers in their quest to get valor tokens and improve their GS.
I also agree compleletly with Kewk's second point. If I foolishly rage quit a group before I could get a chance to earn the kicking I know I deserve, then go grab another Jack Daniels to refocus on what's really important about this game, and finally come back 10 minutes later only to rejoin the same random group that hasn't moved 1 inch from where I left them- they really did prove that all they needed was a less Ahole and more sober tank to succeed. But maybe this group of Aholes are ready to listen to the King of the Aholes.

I'm simply venting my frustration (after recently coming back to the game) about ahole tanks that are the best players in the game, the best tanks, the best healers, and the best dps'rs in the game while everyone else is the worst of each. WTF is wrong with these people that make them so self entitled?
There is a silver lining to my clouds of gloom, however. Today another DB tank rage quit on the group, queue'd again, and got us Oh man I was full of joy ^_^ first time that has ever happened!
I used to love it when that happened. Like "welcome back LOL"

This game peaked with the BC expansion, and jumped the shark with WOTLK.

Sure thing. In past posts, you said a lot of times that WotLK was great, and now you say the opposite, but you aren't trolling.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean here, but I see the (further) decline of the playerbase directly linked to their entitlement which is a product of the content and how it was "delivered" and the accessibility to it. I do not see these issues as separate.
For the record and not necessarily germane to this post, and you will agree if you remember my posts, I have always maintained from very near the beginning of this game that imo, the worst "feature" of the game was the (lack of) "community".
The way I see it: easier access to content/reward = more entitled playerbase = more screaming for easier content = repeat the cycle ad nauseum.
