That's more of a sad commentary on this board's habit of jerking people around then it is on the OP for taking someone at face value.
Almost as sad as the folks who hate this place yet can't restrain their pathological need to incessantly whine about it, eh? But then, even that pales in comparison to the folks whose ego forces them to think people teasing them is a personal affront and MUST BE PUNISHED instead of mildly derailing ribbing, which could easily be countered by a good-natured response rather than crass retorts laced with the outrage of sullied personal honor. 
I was gonna reply and shred him to pieces, thanks for saving me from a well deserved/earned ban.

Sorry Ugh, you lost me when you started babbling about punishing people and sullied honor. I will take a wild stab in the dark and say that our senses of humor are widely different. Such is life. Carry on with your nonsensical babbling. 
Aww what's the matter Arc? You upset that someone didn't share your amusement in trolling a newcomer to the board and then having your troll club come along and mock his intelligence when he took your answer at face value? Awwwwwwwwwww.
Sorry Fly1nsane, you are more likely to win then lottery then you are to get an honest answer to a simple question here. If you haven't noticed, thos board is infested with trolls and jaggoffs who like to jerk people around and then hide behind the "I was just joking" flag when they get called on it. |

Well then, I guess I make 9 more posts and see if he gets an e-mail when he has a PM here. Doubt it though.
Thanks for the info about the boards...I don't mind the joking around stuff, but it would be nice to find someone who actually was in contact with Slip.
Guess I'll try though other means.

That would be your best bet. I'll help ya get your 10 posts. lol You mentioned playing DAOC. What realm did you play? I played mostly Alb Guin.

You should also try to post on the DAoC general board looking for guild members of that guild. You'd probably have better luck there.

It is called ego posting. Some people think it is a contest and that they can win. Not realizing they are the butt of the joke and that further posting just makes them look more foolish. Lotsa people on this board fall into this category.

I'll look into the DAoC boards again, when I looked through them before, it didn't look promising. I also saw that most of Slips last posts were on the WoW vnboards.
I played Alb on Tristin. I miss that game the way it was back then. I can't stand playing casually and still reaching max level in less than a month (Rift), and I fear that WoW has ruined any chance of ever seeing an epic MMO again.
