The same player that did great in the pvp gear would do better in HEROIC pve gear. You are missing an entire stat for every piece of gear and the gear is itemized for pvp.
But of course, by then, you don't need to run heroics 
1st I never said heroic pve gear. 2nd even heroic pve gear (randoms) you still need to do heroics for valor. Unless you can compensate that in FL and T11.

371 pvp gear is easily good enough for heroics.
For PVE, ilevel 371 pvp gear > ilevel 333 or 346 pve gear in almost all cases.
I would rather have 359 pve gear as opposed to 371 pvp gear, for pve, however.

My hunter did 18-19k DPS in the old PvP gear (ilvl 352). Once he got full ZA/ZG gear with enchants and crap he did 22k dps. So the difference between pvp gear and pve gear with enchants was a measly 4k difference. You'll do fine  And because you aren't retarded Arc, you'll probably smoke most of the others in the group.
