Sylvari are fruit/vegetables with humanoid appearance. They actually have the stem part (like each end of a cucumber) on their front (naval) and their backs, and grew out from those points. It's pretty damn fascinating, and I give much kudos to the art designers.

The others that were just listed are humanoids with tree-like appearance.

Least that's the conclusion I draw from viewing everything.

I'm not too excited about any upcoming MMO.

But probably Guild Wars 2 is what I'm most interested in right now. I never played the first because it didn't seem like a real MMO, but sounds like this will be different and it looks interesting and it's a fantasy MMO at least.

Star Wars TOR is probably next on my play list. Looks okay, but I'm not a fan of sci-fi MMOs or even that big into Star Wars.

Overall I'm pretty pessimistic about MMOs after playing Warhammer, Age of Conan, Aion, and Rift. Feels like everyone wants to be like WOW. Wish someone would want to be more like Ultima Online for a change.

Once you begin investigating and spending time looking into GW2 you will realize that unlike the games you listed, GW2 wants to be nothing like WoW or any other MMO of the last 12 years.

Sure, am I hyped and pimping it right now, most certainly. The reason for that is because until I actually began looking into the game, watching videos, and learning what Arena Net is trying to accomplish with the game, I pretty much had the same response as you. So I do my best to actually get people informed about the game and interested in investigating the game on their own.

Either does Tera, but that doesn't make it a good game.

Curious to see what a long time gamer can come up with. I have little to no expectations so I can only be pleasantly surprised. Curious to see what kind of game world R. A. Salvatore can come up with too.

Guild Wars 2 and that announced Warhammer40k MMO - but we're very far from that one for now.

Too True, yet, is Tera being led by two former Blizzard developers as well.

I've heard absolutely nothing about Tera, it's like there is absolutely zero hype for it.
