SWTOR and Guild Wars 2 for me. Some of the others here look cool though.

Same I will play TOR as a Single Player game though, as none of the MMO aspects of the game actually interest me or seems to be more of the same. Will most likely wait a couple of months after release and hope to get it on sale and avoid the launch craziness.

GW 2 of course as you know is the MMO I'm looking forward to the most. Day 1 purchase from me.

Well TOR is said to be about 9 KOTOR games in one. That is what I am most excited about too. I couldn't care less about grouping, but I DO want to be in a multi-player world, just like I do in WoW.

Same approach for me towards SW:TOR. I plan to play it with a couple of real life friends (4 man groups) and not go into the whole endgame/raiding again, and I hope to enjoy the story on both sides, maybe with several classes. The rest is depending on how good the game REALLY is. And then there's GW2 of course, which I take with a HUGE grain of salt because I've learned that most of the time concerning MMORPGs, what sounds too good is too good, so I'll wait until I've tried the game myself before I praise/hype it.

SWTOR: 50 Jedi Shadow (Tank), 50 Sith Marauder (Annihilation).
LOTRO: Lifetime account, playing very casually.
WoW: Both accounts canceled for now.
GW2: Future Warrior.

Aye, that is what I meant about the MMO aspects, I don't want to raid, dungeon run or be part of the whole competitive BS aspect that has destroyed WoWs sense of community. I enjoy the social aspects of the MMO and seeing everybody running around. Right now though, I'm just tired of the same old model and game mechanics, which is what TOR is following. It is one of the one of the reasons I see the game eventually not succeeding as well as Bioware/EA and others want it to succeed.

I'm just happy that it will take subs away from WoW. Not because of wanting to see WoW fail or die, but because of the competition that the genre needs to see it to finally move it forward.

The one I am truly interested in watching the development of is Copernicus. I am always interested in watching what new blood can do in this market as it is sorely needed. Curt has a long-standing interest in this genre as well as the ability to get financing and has attracted some interesting partners so I think this one will be fun to watch. An R. A. Salvatore designed game-world also sounds intriguing as well.

Note: No where above did I say the game will be good or bad, just interesting to watch in its development.

I agree, and I think most here do too. Thing is, I hope SW:TOR (by Bioware) will do better than the past failures which hoped to dent WoW's population. Blizzard needs a kick in the butt, not a slap on the hand.

After watching a 20 min trailer for swtor I am not very excited about it. Seems too much like WoW and doenst appeal to me. The voice acting isnt as great as I expected either and I know I would get sick of it quickly.

GW2 on the other hand has lots of promise and really looking forward to that.

Here are the videos

Well, I think that it will be able to maintain eventually either 1-2 million subs, just from it being Star Wars and people wanting to work through all the class stories. A few of my concerns though is that since its overall basic design is the same to any other MMO, it won't be able to hang onto the MMO players who have gotten bored with the same game mechanics.

Not to mention I have heard that there will only be one raid at max level when the game launches. The fact that Bioware went with Voices, something great mind you, could also hinder Bioware being able to get content out quickly due to having to record voice work and program all the various choice mechanics that might take place during a raid or dungeon.

We all know what can happen to a MMO that doesn't have a good bit of end game content. I think it will do the job of having a good amount of subs, just not anywhere near what I have seen some say that it will end up with, 5 mill.

Then there is GW 2 looming in the shadows, that has begun to take away TOR's thunder so to speak, I have many posters whose excitement for TOR has diminished due to seeing what GW 2 is trying to achieve with its game.

Edit:
To add to Vigilate's post of videos here goes the dragon boss fight that is in this particular Demo. Note that this is a small Dragon.

The boss battles are one of the few things to which I'm not looking forward. They all involve manning some turret and watching the movie until it dies. I'd rather swing or cast instead of turret. Other than that, the game looks decent.
