Doesn't matter what they try to do. You could always charge it back through the CC company with no problem at all. At least that is the way it is in the US, not sure of the EU.

Can you name a single guild that was perma-banned for a one-time use of a buggy game mechanic? I know of one guild that got a temporary ban for modding the game files to allow them to fall through the world to c'thun, which seems pretty extreme as far as cheating. I know of another guild that got disbanded because they encouraged cheating and harassment, but I don't think they were permabanned.


Edit: the c'thun raid who hacked the gamefiles was permabanned.

The c'thun trash was horrible. It took hours for my guild to clear trash mobs just to twin emps. That whole dungeon was kind of messed up and stupid, plus I never got the red bug mount.


I believe there was public outcry when this became public, and kind of forced blizzard's hand. My memory is fuzzy since it was so long ago, but I think they dished out temporary bans, then made them permanent.


I also managed to pull cthun from the entrance, once. It was hilarious. The raid was getting eyebeamed, mass hysteria. That was when warlock's imps could walk through walls and stuff.
