I am not sure when I cancelled my sub, but it was early this year. I don't think the MMO genre has anything left for me as a gamer. I did enjoy WotLK though, so if the LFR thing brings back the ease in getting into a PUG and getting through the content (even if it is faceroll) it may be enjoyable again.

it is nice to see the content i'd otherwise never get to see. i think its a matter of perspective as i don't think raiding takes any sort of skill in the first place, just coordination and lots of time. as has already been said i'd rather just experience the content then play a fps or rts game if i wanna do skill-based.

I couldn't agree more. The chances of assembling a group of 25 or 10 strangers w/o any "bad apples" is next to nothing.
This is why you join a guild and/or form a raid group that meets 1-3 times a week on a given timeslot... Dragon Soul normal is still really really really easy.

A solid 98% of WoW's playerbase is incapable of any prolonged (longer than it takes to call somebody a baddy or fag) social interaction.

That's funny, most of the ones I hear using "bads" "terribadlies" or "baddy" or whatever the kids are calling it this week tend to be in these 2% "progression" guilds. Then again, that's probably the one or two people from that guild that are the douchebags always cluttering up trade with stories of how they one-shotted something heroic (for truez) while watching the latest movie they downloaded from torrents and just smoked a doobie after having mad sex0r with their grown-up (or underage) girlfriend and are just idling in trade while they pwn nubs in MW3 while waiting for scrub queues to pop on their laggy full server.

Those aren't members of the 2% guilds, they're part of the 3-10% guilds. The upper layer of WoW's cesspool of a population.
You don't see the 2% guilds in trade chat.

Blizz needs to work on the loot roll rules even more.
Happened last night, but there is no reason that someone who is already wearing the tier chest, to be able to roll "need" on the chest token.
Also, there shouldn't be a way for someone to win two tokens off of one boss drop, but I have seen that happen as well.
