Is the Raid Finder really that user friendly and accessible now?

I wish they had put this in before they went hardcore elitist on me for Cataclysm release cause maybe I would have been able to stay around to test out this feature. Oh well, I hope everyone playing continues to enjoy WoW.

I subbed to try out the LFR tool. I queued one time, had a 13 minute wait. We finished the whole raid and one shotted all but one boss. It was overall a good experience but the difficulty trivializes the content enough that doing it over and over would get boring much faster. Loot isn't enough incentive to stay interested when there's no mechanical challenge involved. At least for me.

And therein lies the failure that is LFR. It is a step in the right direction to finally fix the broken game so that EVERYONE can see all the content.

But, players don't want to run the same retarded crap over and over just for gear.

As I've said since day one of release, blizzard needs to quit wasting resources on retarded raids, and release a LOT more smaller content a LOT more frequently. There should be a new 5 man at least every other month if not every month. F**$ new raids. Most people don't want to play with 24 retarded strangers. Four are tolerable, 24 are not and never will be for very long.

Even just 9 can get annoying.

that's the point the LFR isn't for people like you. it's for people who just want to have a chance to see end game content and can really care less about getting loot or having the best loot in the game. if you want harder modes they're out there for you.

Eh, I know. I thought the random social aspect of it would be fun but it turns into the same old crap. Just easier.

Adding a lot of extra content would not be that hard. Just give all the old dungeons/raids from previous expansions a special mode where each class is given a preset ilevel of gear (or cap stats) and character level. This would probably be quicker than trying to tune 40+ dungeons for whatever stats characters will have come end game between now and MOP.

Let the bosses award justice points, transmog gear and maybe some other fluff. Maybe even throw in a chance of getting a rare piece of gear that is equivalent in stats to the current raid tier.

Yeah I think there is lots of stuff that they're going to do with the raid finder I can't wait. I recently came back and have been enjoying the game. I really wasn't a fan of Real ID but since I've been back I have been using realID and grouping with friends in bg's and 5 mans. I hope they add more stuff to it soon.

For me the LFR tool is a perfect addition to the future gaming of WoW. It easily allows almost everyone to experience the end-game content without having to commit to certain raid times (great for the casual players), while at the same time still allowing some of the more hardcore players to get a chance to see some of the boss mechanics.

Honestly, I took the LFR as a way to obtain some decent loot until I got drops from DS normal. I haven't delved into FL heriocs (only restarted on 4.3), and thus this was perfect for me.

The boss mechanics for me was the best part. You experience the same exact fight as the normal mode with just some minor tweaks (In the case of Yor'shaj, it's literally the same exact fight ;;; purple>green>yellow (or follow DBM). Some have different mechanics, but they are really easy to pick up on (ie: Haggara's fight is almost identical with the exception of ice blocks falling in the ice faze, having to take the boss not in the middle, and getting people out of ice tombs).

I understand the frustration with the loot in LFR, as it can be annoying (people winning multiple rolls per boss is freakishly common), but really that shouldn't be much of a concern. The LFR tool really shouldn't be used as a means to acquire the best of loot, but rather just a more casual version of raids, and it does a fine job of that.

I couldn't agree more. The chances of assembling a group of 25 or 10 strangers w/o any "bad apples" is next to nothing.
