That place is like a 1970 head shop, there is no plan at all.

Oh I know. As soon as he started pulling comments out of his rear in a feeble attempt to be clever and snarky, I lost interest in the discussion. If a poster can't engage in a discussion without resorting to snarky comments or trying to "own" someone, then I'm just not interested in having a discussion with them at all.

I personally think it was tightasses like you, Arden, Peo, and others that take forum discussion too seriously that ruined VN. Trolls ruined the forums? Nah, if trolls could ruin a forum then every single forum in existence would be boring as sin or closed. Seeing as how that isn't the case I think it's people with a stick up their ass that ruin forums instead.
Edit: Boring as sin, where did that phrase come from? Makes no sense to me when I think about it, sin is usually pretty fun.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. However, the statement that "if trolls could ruin a forum then every single forum in existence would be boring as sin or closed" is inaccurate. Trolls may be amusing at first but most people quickly grow tired of not being able to have debates or discussions without the same handful of people coming along to drag the discussion down with their immature behavior and comments.
Either way, I suspect that we will not agree on this topic. You feel adults wanting non troll infested discussions ruined the boards while I feel immature trolls who are only concerned with stroking their epeen and circle jerking each other while trying to "own" people ruined the boards. /shrug

First of all, I don't troll. As much as you wanna think I do to make yourself feel superior, I don't. You and tightasses like you simply take any and every opinion you don't agree with and label it as trolling. You don't want discussion, you just want a bunch of yes-men to agree with you all the time.

You fail to understand what I'm talking about. Trolls can't ruin a forum because all you have to do is ignore all their trolling and for all intents and purposes the trolling becomes meaningless. Then you got people like you and Arden who feel the compulsion to whine and complain and cry about them in every single thread that people get pissed about. All that does is feed the trolls, so no the trolls were not the ones to ruin VN, you and others like you were.
