Inevitable.
With the trolls driving off casual posters, the boards died. With no traffic, there is no reason to keep them afloat. Take a look at the WoW gen board, used to have hundreds of posts a day, but the troll squad drove them all away.

A shame too, cuz the IGN boards are garbage. No rhyme or reason, no specific boards, just a lousy mishmash of whatever.

I'd wager that more people are annoyed when someone whines about a troll than the troll itself.
