you are absolutely correct. because i like swg doesnt make your analogy bad. your analogy is bad because its not true, you dont understand what life support is and/or you have no concept of running a business.
there is no proof that swg was making a profit or losing money. that kind of information isnt going to be released. but a little logic wills how they were not putting money into it beyond a small group of developers, the cost to run the servers and licensing fees to lucas. you dont need 12m subscribers to turn a profit, since wow people assume that if you dont have hundreds of thousands of subscribers you are not turning a profit. when the fact is there have been plenty of mmos around for a long time with less than 20k subscribers. there are other things to consider as well. soe runs several mmos so aspects like billing, cs, forums, etc. so those costs are reduced when compared to independent mmos. then there is the tcg which has been generally accepted as a big cash cow. and finally when the license expired last time, the populations were considered lower, yet they moved forward.
just because you hate the game doesnt mean it is losing money.

I can't help that you are unable to comprehend a simple analogy, but that doesn't make it incorrect. Like I said you are pissed that I pointed out the truth about a dying game, just like anytime I point it out about DAoC people get pissed.

edit: Kobenator doesn't seem angry or upset in any of his posts. It appears to me he was explaining to you what exactly life support means. It also appears to me that either you are a rather dumb or dim-witted person, or you are making feeble attempts at trolling (and failing) during your past few visits to this board.

Sadly, being 2-4 weeks behind on top-tier content does make for a bad guild in that game. That was during WotLK though that I remembered seeing your signature. Perhaps the guild improved after Cataclysm was released?
And yes, I felt the need to insult you. Thanks for being here for my needs.

Yeah, not being the first to take down bosses in a game makes us such a bad guild. How do we even live with ourselves?
