Clarification about PvP.

Would try DCUO but i dont wanna play a game based on super heros...rather just read the comics and watch the cartoons

I was the same way, if you remember... I bashed the entire concept not only in game but in my fb discussion. I was like.. nah, game's gonna be boring and it's just like COH / COV, but my coworkers CONSTANTLY fraged me about it. So I did the 10 day trial and I like it so far.


For starters, the story line is cool. A quick run down.


Massive war.... most the super heroes die... Lex Luther finally wins.. killing all the super heroes.. Villians take over.. but this alien guy ends up coming in and wiping out everyone... Lex Luther escapes, steals the technology and DNA and goes back in time releasing the DNA to everyone on earth... so random people get super powers... some are good some are bad.. you pick what you want. So you have the Super Heroes and Villians working towards a common goal but doing good or bad... leveling up etc doing quest, robbing banks etc. Kinda like COH / COV was.. except more fun. I like the mouse combo's and the pvp is fun to. It's either open world, or instances.


It don't take long to level either. In 2 weeks goofing off, you can hit the cap level and just do instances, random quests for faction / armor, etc. I haven't experienced this all yet so I don't know the full details but I hated COH/COV and find this one fun. Will I stick? I do not know.. I like what Rift offers... especially in what you posted with the PVP but I'm very undecisive as I hated bg 1... in fact, I hate the repitition of ALL bg's... I prefer open world shiznittle and constant stuff.


So I'm in the middle on what to do yet. I know I won't be able to get in on the continuation of beta due to me having to go to OH and IN on and off the next week, but I'll be on soon enough!

Yeah if RIFT doesn't go well I may try DCUO. I have hope that RIFT will be at least decent, the PvP objectives will be in place at Scarlet Gorge now, so we should be able to go see it next beta, and if you want I can give you my account for a little while. Its this weekend btw ;P

Zoro will be popping in Vent with us this weekend, so find your mic and stuffs Hopefully he'll come and play with us, although we're trying to get enough Gawainites to start Forn Sidr up in DAoC, there are 2-4 of us so far

I won't be in beta this weekend. got a friend coming to visit, and when you live in Vegas, that usually turns into a crazy hung over weekend.

Oh my sister and I may be forced to go to Vegas towards the end of Feb. If so you are allowed to hang out with us, but you must pay for everything. In exchange you are allowed 1 picture with us.


We like chicken wings, uhm… seafood, steak (medium rare), funny hats, ribs, and hoodie jackets. The last time we went was where there was some place that was like all space age. Was kinda neat.
