It will not suck

I'm not feeling this game.

I mean... I hate WoW.... I disliked Warhammer... I liked DAoC... it's odd but this game just doesn't do it for me.


I disliked bg 1 with such a passion that I feel it ruined it for me. I hate repitition, I hate WoW's bgs and feel that this is nearly the exact same as that and Warhammer.


I like the fact that I can switch roles instead of having to level up an archer, an assasin, etc... but it just isn't doing it for me.


I did enjoy chatting with you Uruz and Nyd... it reminds me of days long gone... but I just am not feeling it.. Maybe once game goes live you can give me a launch assessment and I can change my opinion.. but I want people to get capped first before I waste my time on something that will suck.. like I did with AION.

NP Lexi - you should at least get to BG 2 - its WIDE open. alot more fun. If you ever play Call of duty, its like dominion.


On another note - once we hit a PVP server - you don't have to look for people that are flagged - I'm with Iron, lets go that route


Maybe start thinking of guild names? i kinda like <Gawaine's Rejects>

I just have always hated the ‘grab this and hold it for this time’ capture the flag garbage. In WoW, I think that is why I hate WSG with a passion. I LOVE Alterec Valley.. I dislike Arathi Basin, but I still was able to do it. All the other bg’s I hated except the ones where they drop the people on the shore and you can fend them off with cannons as they ram the gates and crash into the court yard.. that one is ok.

I’ll stick to BG 2 just because of what you said… maybe I may make another class… I am thinking I’ll switch my rogue for the marksman main so I can shoot and send the pet and hide like a pansy.. up close and all the moving is not fun for me and I broke 2 nails doing it. I’ll give it more of a whirl… I promise. People are trying hard to persuade me..

I’m with Iron.. that alone MAY give me some incentive.

I've accepted that we'll likely be on a PvP server at launch. But I agree regarding the BG's Lexi, you definitely need to stick it out for the second one. It's world differnt and the landscape alone makes it enjoyable. There are multiple paths to all objectives and if you're ok with a little jumping you can get up on a few of the higher rocks and snipe for fun.


I've been reserved for years regarding betas, and in the case of Rift it's no different. I betad WAR and left within weekd of launch, Aion I lasted less than a month after launch because of all the releveling I did. I'm always reticent to run a beta because of how quickly I burn out on the repetition, but I would love for Rift to wow me somehow.


It's kinda funny that you broke a nail or two on the game though...

You should just let me on your beta account and roam in bg 2 to try it... and talk to me through mine... so i don't spend time leveling up from 13 - 20ish only to find out i hate it lol.


my coworkers want me to try dc universe.. but i kinda think it reminds me of COV and COH from what they describe it as.


I just want a fun game to stick too.


I never tried GW but everyone keeps hyping me baout GW 2.

Yeah, I hit level 10 and I've watched enough PvP videos for now - I'm going to stop playing the beta so I don't have to deal with a character wipe. I'll preorder and play for realsies at the headstart.

It's shaping up to be a heck of a group at launch of we can all get together. I met 4 folks on a PvP server from a large guild in EQ I knew and I played with some of them in Warhammer.


If it all works out we have Nydaweth, Me, Lexi, Cadinsor, Chooch, Ironclad, Rezzinu, 3 other folks from EQ and Warhammer, and 4 folks from Silent Redmption, plus some various others, I think Ironclad said his roommate was gonna play. Looking good! All are ok with Defiant race, PvP server?

She is not sure if she wants to troll to 20 to see this other bg... that will hopefully erase the HORRIBLE feeling I'm getting in bg 1.


Or she will see if someone will let her use their level 20+ account to try it and not waste the time.


So she can play Rockband and continue killing mutants in Fallout.

My only 20+ is a healer, so I'm afraid that wouldn't even be remotely enjoyable seeing as all I do is AE heal and get ganked. The life of a healer...
