So if anybody cares.. here's my perspective on this game.

FYI - I got a Jedi Knight to level 11.

I got a trooper to level 8

Smuggler to level 10

Bounty Hunter to level 6.

I really did NOT enjoy the story of Jedi Knight, but I understand that is because it was so serious. There were no quirks in the storyline, it was very preachy about The Force and honestly.. if I hear 'may the force be with you' again I'll kill a kitten. I understand it is a SW game, but having EVERY quest person end with that line is mental repitition to the max.

I'd say the most fun story line's are the bounty hunter, trooper, and the smuggler.

I didn't really enjoy the Jedi Knight much as it was very close fighting and although I typically enjoy all kinds of chars... I didn't like this one. Maybe it was the outfits or the quests, but I will not roll a Jedi Knight if I decide to get the game.

The controls were decent. Typical of your MMO's. The graphics were decent, and yes I know this is just beta... the intro cinematics were VERY GOOD and felt like a movie.

Combat graphic is kind of lame.. the typical mmo's out there with nothing new.. walk up.. move a stick.. sound effects.. thats it. I did NOT like the display... for example: the exp bar was buggy the entire time.. the commands and what does what had no explanation really, and I am lucky people in /1 chat were good intel instead of like the WoW crowd. I don't see this getting a bunch of 'kids' in this game like WoW.. it actually does require some thought.. the quests aren't point a to point b and it's very open world.. i'd say the quest system is more like FF 11 instead of WoW.

Although I did not get to experience PVP I had friends tell me about it. To explain it easier.. there is open world pvp. Battleground pvp.. and space combat which closely resembles StarFox. If I hear ‘do a barrel roll’ by a friend of mine telling me about it one more time. I’ll kill a second kitten, making sure I carefully utilize the corpse of the first.. kitten.

Rewards are like WoW… exactly.. same as the way to obtain those rewards.

I watched my sisters friend through his screen and it looked like the pvp objectives / battlegrounds that are in Battlefront.. but I really don’t want to make that assumption as I did not like Battlefront at all.

Once the game goes live.. I may roll trooper… or bounty hunter.

And if I don’t like the game.. I’ll do what I mostly do everytime.. sell the account.. and make off with a few hundred bucks in my pocket.

I had already pre-ordered. From what I saw in my limited playing in beta, I will definitely enjoy the game for a few months at least. Perhaps more so if the parts I didn't get to see (PvP, space) are better than expected. The end game looks like your now typical raid grind, so that will likely keep me from sticking around long term.

Space combat is where it’s at. The hard part is this:

Smuggler, Bounty Hunter – fun to play.. but will have weak ships (transport / speed).

Jedi… will have the fun ships for the Republic side.. but will be close range fighters that I don’t like…

Trooper will be heavy arms ships… fun in ship pvp.. and very fun to play… so that’s why I’m honestly going this route (so far) In liv game.

Tho the Bounty Hunter / smuggler is so fun to play in missions and pvp as a player.. not as a ship.

But ship combat is what attracts me.. I loved that arcade game.. star wars trilogy.. I love ship flying games..

Star Fox for life!

Didn't get in on the latest beta.

I did get the mass invite for the stress test. Although, I expect that to yield 1 maybe 2 hours of game play between the slideshow/crashes one expects with stress tests.

Yeah, I expect the stress test to be a slide show... as in Gawaine relic raid, camera pointing at the ground while /stuck to Gothar.
