LOL off topic is ok cause food ended up being a side effect of this. Bruce now eats "real" food 4 times a day and ALOT of it! Going out today to buy him the next step in cereal and he has already started veggies. I tried the applesauce too but I wanted to get the veggies in there before too much sweet stuff. He's like a little bird too, cries his head off while we are getting it ready and then once he has a bite its open-stuff-swallow-open-stuff-swallow LOL. Looks like he is not going to be a dainty picky eater like his sister.

Kinda cute

My wife made the baby food too. On a trip we bought some in jars and he refused to eat it quite adamantly. He tolerated the sweet stuff, apples or something like that but wouldn't touch any of the vegetable stuff even though theoretically it was the same things my wife had been feeding him.

It's super easy to do too. Cook veggies, blend, pour into an ice cube tray and freeze. Once frozen you can pop them out and bag them. Just grab a cube or two from the bag when needed.

Ok we got off topic.

Heh, I stopped trying to put Matthias's food in ice cube trays, since I'd have to feed him half the tray to fill him up if I went that route.

Remember to not introduce too many new foods at once they need time to adjust to each new thing you give them. I am glad you got this all sorted out. Also as was mentioned above get one of those little food blenders and make your own baby food. way cheaper and I have seen babies who refuse to eat something out of the baby food jars gulp donw the home made verison like it was the best thing on earth.

Yeah, he actually got a bit of applesauce weeks ago when his big sister decided to "share" so we knew that was ok. We only do one new food every 2-3 days and he's doing ok. Except the one day that I introduced oatmeal in the morning and my hubby didn't know and introduced peas that night. Oh Bruce's pooping the next day was horrible! I am very careful now to go over the daily eating routine with the hubby before he feeds him LOL. Not sure yet about the homemade for this stage cause his big sister hated it. But they are so different I should try for sure.

That man almost gave me a heart attack with Selyna when she was about 9 months old. She walked early (8-9 months) and was almost fully weaned off me around then too. Will decided to be a sweetheart and let me sleep in one morning...I got up around 10am and went downstairs to see what they had been up to. Will goes over most of what they had been doing, playing and stuff, when he casually mentions "Oh yeah, and she really likes peanut butter". ACK! He had shared his breakfast toast with her>.< Thankfully she has no allergies but omg...woke me up better than a coffee IV could have LOL.
